Alem Tena

Alem Tena is a small town Southwest of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  The Alem Tena Free Methodist Church is our sister church that we co-sponsor with Mt. View Community FMC in Uplands, CA.  Pastor Habtamu Gebre leads this congregation of over 100 members along with a Light & Life School.

Together, Light & Life, Mt. View, and Alem Tena hope to accomplish the following projects for the glory of God the Father and the making of followers of Jesus Christ.

1. To build a church building that can hold the growing congregation and facilitate their worship of God.
2. To build a new school to replace the one that was stolen and to accomodate their growing enrollment (almost 200!).
3. To build a health clinic to be able to minsiter to the whole person.
4. To build an Eden Nursery to be able to minister to the land, which is quickly becoming a desert.
